Dear Parents, Students and Friends of the Lalor Gardens Primary School Community
BLOOMING GREAT KIDS TERM 4 WEEK 1: VOICE
Along with body language, learning how we should use our voice is very important. Often it is not the words we say, but how we say them that really lets people know how we feel.
We can use the tone of our voice to convey lots of messages. Just think how many different ways you can say the word “NO”.
Think about the way you use your voice to show people that you are friendly. Even when you have to say some- thing difficult or you have to disagree with someone, you can use your voice in a way that is fair, not mean or unfriendly. Perhaps in your class next week you can practise using your voice in many different ways and see what messages it sends.

The Fun Run was also a great success with all the children participating and raising much needed funds for our school. Thanks especially to Veronica Stuart who coordinated this event on behalf of the Fundraising Committee of School Council.
COMMUNITY HEALTH DAY
What a fantastic day we had on this Tuesday with our Community Health Day. A big thanks to Mr De Leo for organizing this event. It was a great way to be healthy, have fun and work in teams from Prep—6 to complete all the activities. Thanks also to all the staff who put in a tremendous effort to rotate the
groups through the activities and get into the spirit of the day with their sporting outfits. It was also a
sight to see the parents and teachers involved at the end of the day in the egg and spoon races. The chil- dren loved it. Well done to everyone. What a great community school and spirit we have!!! Check out the photos on the last page of this newsletter
